MACH100 Industrial Workgroup Rack-Mount Ethernet Switches

The comprehensive switching and routing functions, as well as the kettle lead power plug for the power supply make the MACH100 series workgroup switches a cost-effective alternative for Layer 2/Layer 3 applications with high data rates, such as video surveillance or IP telephony.

The MACH100 Switches can assign ports to different subnetworks and deliver specifically targeted data packets within these networks. They can also handle routing between subnetworks.

The switches support both static and dynamic routing as well as multicast routing. In addition – depending on the model – devices can be supplied over the data line with power via PoE+ or via PTPv2 precisely synchronized.

  • Static, dynamic and multicast routing allow subnetworks to be set up and linked together
  • Technologies such as PoE+ and PTPv2 facilitate a wide range of possible applications
  • Various redundancy methods - like MRP, HIPER-Ring and RSTP - combined with a robust design ensure high network availability
  • Designed for installation in 19” control cabinets and office-related environments
  • Available as a fixed port version or as modular workgroup switches - variable SFP modules
  • Flexible and economic solution with high quality and a long life cycle
  • Terminal equipment can be powered cost-effectively, thanks to up to 16 PoE+ ports
  • Accurate synchronization via PTPv2
  • Maximum flexibility, thanks to different versions (10 Gigabit optical uplinks, fanless cooling, redundant power supply and non-heating appliance power plug, external power supply)
  • Various redundancy methods ensure high network availability
  • High levels of shock and vibration resistance plus broad immunity to electrostatic discharges and magnetic fields
  • Operating temperature range of 0°C to +50°C, making powerful cooling systems in control cabinets unnecessary
  • Extensive management methods and a variety of configuration and diagnostic functions
  • USB interface for an autoconfiguration adapter, which can also be used to upgrade or downgrade the operating system
  • Just one rack unit high, for compact installation
  • Layer 3 routing allows subnetworks to be set up and linked together
  • Perfectly matched to the entire Hirschmann range of switches, routers and access points, plus the network management software Industrial HiVision and Industrial Ethernet cables from Belden

The MACH100 switches are only one rack unit high and can be put into operation quickly via plug and play, thus providing flexible and cost effective solutions in numerous industries.

They can be used in transport applications to network traffic lights and emergency telephones, to transmit video and audio signals such as announcements and alerts, or control smoke extraction systems.

Another example is office communication, where they can be used to efficiently connect a large number of devices to the network – including PCs, printers, and WLAN access points.
