  • network device data

The following list contains examples of non-personal data that you provide for the HiMobile application:

3 What is the personal data used for in the HiMobile application?

The following description details the personal data that you provide for the HiMobile application and how the application uses the information:

  • The information that HiMobile displays is received from the Industrial HiVision server. The HiMobile client requires that you have a user account on the Industrial HiVision server. To log into your user account HiMobile requires that you enter your authentication information.
  • You can use the camera on your mobile device to scan the QR code attached to a network device. The QR scanner allows the HiMobile client to automatically navigate directly to information about the network device that is stored on the Industrial HiVision server.

4 What is the non-personal information used for in the HiMobile application?

The following description details the non-personal information that you provide for the HiMobile application and how the application uses the information:

To connection to the Industrial HiVision server, enter the IP address of the Industrial HiVision server. The information exchanged between the server and client allows you to monitor your network on your mobile device.
  • Using the GPS of the mobile device and the “Get my Location” function of the HiMobile client you can to detect your geographical location. You can then send the detected coordinates to the Industrial HiVision server. Using the coordinates received from the HiMobile client, the Industrial HiVision server can display the geographical location of the network device on a map, e.g. Google maps. The Industrial HiVision server also sends the coordinates through your network to the network device. The network device saves the coordinates in its memory.
