DRAGON PTN 2215 with HiProvision Software

Simplicity, interoperability, predictability and cost efficiency of MPLS-TP make it the technology of choice for backbone networks.

Hirschmann’s DRAGON PTN with HiProvison, equipped with low cost, Ethernet-based MPLS-TP technology, makes it easy for engineers to migrate network infrastructure away from complex, expensive legacy options, while using limited internal resources.

The new DRAGON PTN 2215 is ideal for use in large networks due to its expanded housing that fits in more interface cards and provides a switching capacity up to 720 Gbit/s. A variety of new interface cards provide in addition a greater bandwidth with up to 40 Gbit/s and even 100 Gbit/s in the future.

Consisting of a variety of modules and port options for increased network flexibility and integration, DRAGON PTN with HiProvision is fully modular and can be configured as a completely redundant system. This means that network engineers can ensure network availability in case of component or path failure.
